M Timothy Murphy, DMD

Dr. M Murphy completed his oral and maxillofacial surgery training at The University of Tennessee Health and Science Center in Memphis. While at University of Tennessee Health and Science Center, he was trained in a wide scope of practice that included advanced dentoalveolar procedures, temporomandibular joint surgical management, facial trauma, and orthognathics.

Prior to oral and maxillofacial surgery training, he graduated from Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine in Glendale, Arizona. While at Midwestern University, he was elected to Omicron Kappa Upsilon (national honors society for dentists), received the award for “Golden Hands” and the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons Dental Student Award for Midwestern University.  Dr. Murphy is a proud graduate of Kalamazoo College in Kalamazoo, MI. He was active in extracurricular activities while at K College and was a member of the Kalamazoo College Golf team. 

Dr M is certified in both  Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support. Dr. Murphy is a board-certified member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.  

M and his wife, Cynthia, returned to the area where Cynthia grew up. They have two young daughters that keep their lives busy. In the rare free-time, they both are avid runners.
